Privacy policy

Thank you for visiting the ATLANTIC Hotels website and for your interest in our company and our technical and organizational data protection measures. The confidentiality of your personal data and compliance with the data protection provisions are important to us. The collection, processing and use of personal data in our company and as part of the operation of our internet sites complies with the European Union's data protection standards, in particular with the provisions of the German data protection laws. Personal data includes all information that may be used to directly or indirectly identify a person, e.g. name, residential address, email address, date of birth, profession, bank account details, etc.

Personal data
Personal data is information relating to your identity. This includes e.g. your name, address, telephone number and email address. It is not necessary for you to disclose personal data in order to use our website. In certain cases, however, we need your name and address, as well as other details, in order that we can provide the desired services. The same applies, for example, to the sending of informative material and ordered goods or to the answering of individual questions. Where necessary, we will point this out accordingly. In addition, we only store and process data that you voluntarily provide to us and, where applicable, data that we collect automatically when you visit our webpages (e.g. your IP address and the names of the pages you are accessing, the browser you are using, your operating system, date and time of access, search engines used, and names of downloaded files). As a rule, only those data that we need to provide the services are actually collected if you use our services. Insofar as we ask you for further data, this is voluntary information. The processing of personal data takes place exclusively to fulfil the requested service and to protect our own legitimate business interests.

Purpose of the personal data
We generally use the personal data you provide in order to answer your enquiries, process your orders, or give you access to specific information or offers. In order to maintain customer relationships, it may also be necessary that we, or a service provider commissioned by us, use these personal data to inform you about product offers or to carry out online surveys in order to better meet the tasks and requirements of our customers. Of course, we respect it if you prefer not to give us your personal data in support of our customer relationship activities (especially for direct marketing or market research purposes). We will not sell or otherwise market your personal data to third parties.

Restricted use
We will collect, process and use the personal data you have made available online only for the purposes communicated to you. Your personal data will not be passed on to third parties without your explicit consent. Surveys of personal data as well as their transmission to governmental institutions and authorities entitled to receive information will only take place within the framework of the relevant laws or if we are obliged to do so by a court decision. Our employees and the service companies commissioned by us are obliged by us to maintain confidentiality and to comply with the provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act.

These data are stored separately from other personal information on secure systems. No conclusions about individual persons are drawn.

When you visit one of our websites, we may store information in the form of a cookie on your computer. Cookies are small text files sent by a webserver to your browser and stored on your computer’s hard drive. Apart from the Internet protocol (IP) address, no personal data of the user are stored. This information is used to automatically recognize you on your next visit to our websites and to make navigation easier for you. Cookies allow us, for example, to customize a website to your interests or to store your password so that you do not have to re-enter it every time. Of course, you can also visit our websites without using cookies. If you do not want us to recognize your computer, you can prevent cookies from being stored on your hard drive by selecting “Do not accept cookies” in your browser settings. To find out how this works in detail, please refer to the instructions of your browser manufacturer. If you do not accept cookies, however, this may impair the functionality of our website offers.
We have taken technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data from loss, destruction, manipulation and unauthorized access. All our employees and all persons involved in data processing are obliged to comply with the Federal Data Protection Act and other laws pertaining to data protection and the confidential handling of personal data.
Whenever personal data are collected and processed, the information is transmitted in encrypted form, in order to prevent the misuse of the data by third parties. Our security measures are constantly revised to keep up with the pace of technological development.

Changes to our privacy policy
We reserve the right to change our security and data protection measures as far as is necessary for the purposes of technical development. In these cases, we will also update our statements on privacy and data protection accordingly. Please take note of the current version of our privacy policy.

If you use any external links which are offered within the scope of our webpages, this privacy policy does not extend to these links. Insofar as we offer links, we endeavour to ensure that no violations of the rights of the linked webpages are evident at the time of linking. However, we have no influence on the compliance of other providers with the data protection and security regulations. For this reason, you should also check the privacy policies provided on the webpages of the other providers.
Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies" which allow your use of the website to be analysed. The information generated about your use of this website by the cookie (including your IP address) is transmitted to a Google server in the USA, where it is also stored.
Google uses this information to assess your use of the website in order to compile reports on the website activities for the website operator and to provide additional services related to the use of the website and the internet. Google may also transmit this information to third parties, if required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Google will not link your IP address with other data.

Given the debate regarding the use of analysis tools with complete IP addresses, we would like to note that this website uses Google Analytics with the extension "_anonymizeIp()" so that IP addresses are only processed in an abbreviated form, in order to prevent direct personal references.

You can prevent cookies from being installed by adjusting your browser software settings; however, please note that you may then not be able to use all the functions on this website.

By accessing this website, you consent to the processing of the collected data by Google in the manner described above and for the purposes previously mentioned. The data collection and storage may be revoked at any time with effect for the future.

You can prevent the collection of data with Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. This sets an opt-out cookie, which prevents the future acquisition of your data when you visit this website: Deactivate Google Analytics

Google remarketing
This website uses the remarketing function from Google Inc ("Google"). As a part of the Google advertising network, this function is intended to present website visitors with advertising based on their interests. The website visitor's browser saves so-called "cookies". These are text files which are stored on the visitor's hard drive and which enable recognition of the visitor when he/she accesses websites that belong to Google's advertising network. On such sites, adverts can then be presented to the visitor. These adverts are based on content which the visitor previously accessed in websites which use the Google remarketing function.

If the user has consented to his/her web and app browser history being linked to his/her Google account and information from his/her Google account being used to personalize adverts, Google will apply data from this signed-in user along with Google analytics data to create target-group lists for cross-device remarketing. This involves Google Analytics firstly recording Google-authenticated IDs from users of our website. These IDs are linked to the Google accounts (i.e. personal data) of these users. Google Analytics will then temporarily link these IDs with our Google Analytics data in order to optimize our target groups.

If the remarketing function is not wanted, you can fully disable it via the relevant settings under Alternatively, you can disable the use of cookies for interest-based advertising by following the instructions under Further information on Google remarketing and privacy terms is available under:
